My pastor wasn’t at church this weekend. He was ministering in Japan. (In related news: I once ministered in Raleigh.)
A lot of Mondays, I blog about what Pastor Robert said at Gateway Church, but today I can only tell you what he would have said...
- He would have had us turn to two passages of Scripture.
- He's a teacher and these are his favorite phrases. (He would have used all of these.)
“Listen…”
“Okay, let me say it this way…”
“Here's how this works..."
“Let me ask you a question…”
- He would have unveiled at least one (but probably ten) Scriptural truths I had never seen.
- He would have pronounced the word “on” as “own” (Texas, ya'll)
- He would have finished by asking, “What is the Holy Spirit saying to you through this message?”
These are the things my pastor didn't say in Soutlake last weekend but I'm pretty sure he would have. I wonder how well they translate into Japanese.
